Andrew Lear

Andrew Lear is vice-present of Lapides/Lear, a Los Angeles-based talent management company.

Born in Philadelphia, Lear graduated from the University of Arizona, in 1997. His degree is in Theatre Arts. He worked WRMF-FM, in West Palm Beach, Florida, before moving to Los Angeles. His first job, in LA, was as an assistant to the CEO, Irv Schecter Company, a talent and literary agency.

In 1999, Lear joint Spring Creek Productions, as a television coordinator. At Spring Creek, he helped develop "Iron Jawed Angels," for HBO, and "The Salem Witch Trials," for CBS. In 2001, Lear joined the Lapides Entertainment Organization (LEO) to continue his passion for artist development.

In 2003, the LEO merged with Bill Siddons and Associates, a music management company, to form CORE Entertainment. Lear became Vice-President, Comedy and Development. In late 2008, Lapides/Lear form, under the umbrella of CORE Entertainment.

Lear now works with talent working in all media. He also oversees project development and product for non-scripted cable, network and syndication television shows. His clients include AJ Benza, co-host of "High Stakes Poker" and Drew Lachey, "Dancing with the Stars." James van Praag, the Executive Producer, of "the Ghost Whisperer," that currently airs on CBS. Richard 'Mack' Machowicz, who hosts "Future Weapons," that airs on the Discovery Channel. Pat Bullard, from Mississauga, Ontario, hosts the show, "Here Come the Newlyweds" on ABC. Scott Thompson, from North Bay, Ontario, was the star of "Kids in the Hall" and the "Larry Sanders Show."
